Soon after in 1998 Ashba joined BulletBoys along with former Guns N' Roses drummer Steven Adler. In 1999 he departed the group to start a new band Beautiful Creatures. In 2006 Ashba set up Funny Farms Studios with Nikki Sixx. Ashba released the critically acclaimed album The Heroin Diaries Soundtrack in August, 2007. The single Life is Beautiful reached number 2 on the Billboard Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks.
